• Grace marks can be added to any no.of theory subjects (irrespective of credits other than Major Project, Minor Project, Comprehensive Viva-Voce, Seminar) - For B.Tech (R18) 2018, 2019, 2020 Regular and 2019, 2020, 2021 lateral entry for the academic year 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24 outgoing students only.
• Grace marks can be added only to 1 or 2 subjects maximum. (irrespective of credits other than Major Project, Minor Project, Comprehensive Viva-Voce, Seminar)
• Grace marks can be added only for external marks.
• Grace marks can't be added to internal marks.
• The best performance among all the external examinations shall be considered while giving the grace marks. i.e., you can use even your best previous result [Best external mark among all Regular/Supple exams till now] while applying for grace marks.
• Students can apply for grace marks only after they get the original marks memos.
• Tatkal Process not applicable for Grace Marks. You need to apply at college only for grace marks.
• You can apply for grace marks any time. No such deadline or last date is applicable while applying for grace marks.

You can apply for grace marks at any point of time. Please note it might take 60 to 70 days to get the memos after you apply for grace marks.


1st Point is only for B.Tech R18 regulation students
2nd Point is for other regulations.

My college is saying that they need to get a notification from JNTU Hyderabad to prepare grace marks eligible candidates list. Is this true?

I am not getting clear answer from them on when they will prepare and send it to JNTU Hyderabad.

I hope there is no rule to award grace marks only after Advance Supplementary exams.

The list is expected Mostly by the end of all regulations special supply and currently ongoing regular/supply exams. For every Academic year end they will release, coz last time they released on aug month 2024, now we can expect it by August -September end

I have only one subject and that is from 4th year second sem. I am from R18 regulation (2021-2025) batch.

By looking at Rahul bro messages, he says that r18 2025 passedouts are eligible for grace marks, so you can go and apply in your college immediately, even though they say there is no list, go with your supply original memo that is the proof you are eligible for grace marks and force them to apply. All the colleges are confused with old rules of grace marks. So force them to accept your application.
