JNTUH Enhancement of Grace marks Revised for B.Tech R18 regulation students - July 2024

JNTU-Hyderabad ( JNTUH ) In the University Order (3) read above, the University has approved for adding grace marks of 0.50% of total marks for any number of theory subjects for all R18 B.Tech 2021-22 & 2022-23 passed out students only as mentioned below:

There are several representations received from the B.Tech R18 students and their parents for adding the grace marks for all all Regular and Lateral entry students of R18 Regulations. In the present B.Tech R18 regulations there is no chance for subject exemption as it was available to B.Tech R15 and R16 Regulations.

In view of the above circumstances, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to accord permission to the Director of University Examinations, JNTUH to add grace marks up to 0.50% of total marks for any number of theory subjects for all B.Tech R18 Regulations students (Regular and Lateral entry) as mentioned below:

Under the circumstances as stated above, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to accord permission to the Director of University Examinations, JNTUH for adding the grace marks up to 0.50% for any number of theory subjects for all B.Tech R18 Regulations students (Regular and Lateral entry) (i.e maximum of 30 grace marks for regular and 23 grace marks for lateral entry students) and those who were admitted in previous regulations and completed final year in R18 regulations without subject exemption, who are eligible to get degree, subject to ratification by the Academic Senate /Executive Council.

These orders shall come into force with immediate effect for the students of JNTUH University Colleges, JNTUH Affiliated and Affiliated Autonomous Colleges.

Hello sir can I apply Grace marks after 4-1 result because I required 34 marks in 3 subject and I already done my 4-1 exam in last month after 4-1 result can I apply Grace marks or not and is there any time limit for applying Grace marks or not

no such time limit. you can apply for grace marks at any point of time but you must be eligible for grace marks.

No.of required grace marks are exceed 30. Try to clear few subjects or else try to gain more marks in external exams to be eligible for grace marks. MSF ? can you mention the full form of the subject, to which year/semester does this subject belong to & also your branch.

M2 & M4 both subjects of same internal & external marks ? if so then you are eligible for grace marks, check your name in the list & apply for grace marks.

Do you have any more backlogs other than M2 ? If no more backlogs then you are eligible for grace marks.

Hi bro, I'm a 2020-2023 R18 lateral entry student. I have 4 backlog till date. 2-1 COSM 2-2 BEFA, 3-1 FLAT, 3-2 DAA I'll write these subjects in coming months hopefully I'll clear them this time. but I don't have hopes on COSM bro. If I clear 3 and can I apply grace marks for COSM?
If yes how are grace marks calculated/alloted to lateral entry students? Please reply! Thank you

Hi bro hope you are doing good will there be any confirmation from jntuh regarding the 2024 grace marks as many people are saying that the notificaion came on april month and we students arent getting a clarity yett

This notification is officially issued by JNTUH & 2024 pass outs are eligible for 30 [Regular students] & 23 [Lateral Entry students] grace marks. in next 2 to 3 days jntuh will even issue the eligible grace marks list to colleges. The pages/groups/twitter pages/telegram groups/channels which you are following might be stating this is old notification & tomorrow the same people will say this is the official notification issued by JNTUH, 2024 are eligible for grace marks. Don't worry you will hear this news soon from other pages by tomorrow. @badrinath2001
