KTU Vide paper read(1), while considering the matter of appointing a faculty member as chairperson, who is pursuing Ph.D course work, Dean(Research) remarked that, any faculty who have registered for the Course Work as part of Ph.D program, shall not be assigned with any examination duties like, the charge of Chairman, Board of question Paper setters/Scrutiny Panel/Member of the Board of examiners and evaluators of the answer scripts for which he/she has registered for, till the results of the course work is published.
Vide paper read (2), the 27th meeting of SSC on Examination held on 13.04.2022, discussed the matter and recommended to exempt the faculty members who are pursuing Ph.D course, from question paper setting and other allied examination related duties, during the period of their course work. Subsequently the matter is placed before the Syndicate for consideration.
Vide paper read (3), Syndicate considered the matter as item No.S.033-015, in its 33rd meeting held on 21.04.2022 and resolved to exempt the faculty members who are pursuing Ph.D course, from question paper setting and other examination related duties, during the period of their course work.
Therefore sanction has been accorded by the Hon'ble Vice Chancellor to implement the resolution of the Syndicate to exempt the faculty members who are pursuing Ph.D course, from question paper setting and other examination related duties, during the period of their course wo.
