JNTU-Hyderabad ( JNTUH ) Award of grace marks for the students of R22 Academic Regulations

JNTU-Hyderabad ( JNTUH ) The University constituted a committee to discuss and examine the issue of awarding grace marks to students under the R22 Academic Regulations. The committee met on 16-06-2026 in the Rector Office, JNTUH, and deliberated on the matter.

The committee submitted the following recommendations:
1. It is recommended to extend the benefit of grace marks to all UG, MBA and MCA programmes offered under R22 academic regulations.

2 Award of grace marks to the extent of 0.15% of the total maximum marks of all semesters in the programme, in line with the long-standing practice followed for all academic regulations of the University, except the R18 Regulations.

3. This benefit is applicable only to those students who
a) have completed all four years of study;
b) have appeared for all Semester End Examinations; and
c) have passed all courses except one, two, or three courses, where the addition of grace marks would enable them to acquire the required credits for the award of the Provisional Degree Certificate. There is no bar on allocating maximum grace marks to any course.

Vide ref. (2) cited, the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor is pleased to accord approval for the above recommendations and award grace marks for the students of R22 Academic Regulations.
