BRAOU Entrance Test Notification for Admission into Ph.D. Programme 2025-26
BRAOU : Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University invites applications from eligible candidates for admission into the Ph.D. Programme in English, Telugu, Chemistry, Economics, History and Sociology for the Academic Year 2025-26.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates possessing Master’s Degree in the subject concerned or in any allied subject from a recognized University, with a minimum of 55% marks (50% in the case of SC/ST/BC-Non Creamy Layer candidates) are eligible to seek admission into the Ph.D. Programme.
Admission Procedure: Admission into Ph.D. Programme shall be through an Entrance Test (Computer Based Test [CBT]) mode followed by an interview. The applicants who are qualified in UGC-JRF/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/ CEED test and were awarded a fellowship are exempted from appearing for the Entrance Test.
However, they have to submit the online application form and register themselves for the admission by paying the required fee and appear for the interview.
Medium: The medium of instruction and examination for Ph.D. Entrance Test, course work and writing dissertation/thesis shall be in English only, except for Telugu, for which the medium shall be Telugu.
