The Vice-Chancellor, having considered the minutes 1st cited, has approved the Academic Calendar for I/II M.Tech (I & II Semesters of all branches) course for the academic year 2016-2017. The revised academic schedule is as follows:

I Semester

• Date of commencement of class work : 22-08-2016
• Dasara Holidays : 09-10-2016 to 16-10-2016
• First Mid-Term examinations : 17-10-2016 to 22-10-2016
• Last instruction day : 10-12-2016
• Second Mid-Term examinations : 13-12-2016 to 19-12-2016
• Preparation of marks and attendance : 20-12-2016 to 22-12-2016
• Commencement of University Theory examinations : 26-12-2016
• Commencement of University Practical examinations : After Theory examinations
• Pongal Holidays : 08-01-2017 to 15-01-2017

II Semester

• Date of commencement of class work : 16-01-2017
• First Mid-Term Examinations : 06-03-2017 to 11-03-2017
• Last instruction day : 22-04-2017
• Second Mid-Term examinations : 24-04-2017 to 24-04-2017
