As per this office Notification VTU/Aca/OS/2018-19/4960 dt: 07-09-2018, the students admitted under 2015 scheme B.E./B.Tech./ B.Arch. have to obtain a CGPA greater than equal to 5.00 for award of Degree.
Improvement of CGPA for award of Degree:
1. In case, if CGPA is less than 5.00 at the end of B.E./B.Tech. programme, students are permitted to appear again for SEE in full or part of the corresponding previous semester /s theory course's by rejecting the performance in those courses (other than internship, technical seminar, project and laboratories) for any number of times subject to the provision of maximum duration of the programme, to make up the CGPA greater than or equal to 5.00 for the award of degree and obtain suitable grades afresh through SEE.
2. Month and year of pass shall be shown for each course in Grade Card/ Transcript.
3. The Faculty Advisor/ Head of the department shall mentor the students to register the courses to make CGPA equal to or greater than 5.00 and enable the students for award of degree.
4. Students shall obtain written permission from the Registrar (Evaluation), VTU, Belagavi to reappear in SEE to improve the CGPA equal to or greater than 5.00. A separate notification/circular in this regard will be issued by Registrar (Evaluation), VTLI, Belagavi
