Visvesvaraya Technological University - VTU Several Autonomous colleges have requested permission to conduct supplementary semester / fast-track semester for students admitted in 2021-22 after their 6th semester and brought to the notice of the University that this facility will allow these students to become eligible for the 7th semester and increase their opportunities for placement. The university has also received aforesaid requests from students of these colleges. Hence, a committee was constituted to study the matter and report to the University. Accordingly, the Committee met and submitted its recommendations to the University. The recommendations were placed before the Executive Council of the University and as approval of Executive Council the following is notified.
In a few cases, it has been observed and noted by the University that affiliated-autonomous colleges have not followed / advised the students about the existing and amended regulations issued from time to time. Hence, the Principals of affiliated autonomous colleges shall note all the existing regulations applicable to different schemes and advise the students accordingly. Any deviation of the regulations shall be viewed seriously by the University. The content of this notification shall be brought to the notice of the concerned.
