VTU Notification - Supplementary /Fast track semester for students of Autonomous Colleges admitted during the academic year 2022-23 - reg
Visvesvaraya Technological University - VTU Several Autonomous colleges have requested permission to conduct supplementary/fast-track semester for students admitted in the academic year 2022-23 after every even semester and the University has also received aforesaid requests from students of these colleges. Hence, a committee was constituted to study the matter and report to the University. Accordingly, the Committee met and submitted its recommendations to the University. The recommendations were placed before the Executive Council of the University and as approval of Executive Council the following is notified.
In a few cases, it has been observed and noted by the University that affiliated-autonomous colleges have not followed / advised the students about the existing and amended regulations issued from time to time. Hence, the Principals of affiliated autonomous colleges shall note all the existing regulations applicable to different schemes and advise the students accordingly. Any deviation of the regulations shall be viewed seriously by the University. The content of this notification shall be brought to the notice of the concerned.

| 2022-23 | The supplementary/fast-track semester has been permitted after every even semester for 2022-23 admitted batch. Students who have obtained NE due to either not having the minimum required CIE or attendance or both shall take the supplementary semester to earn the required CIE marks & attendance for writing the SEE. Students may also register for the supplementary semester for courses having an F grade, but they are required to earn the CIE marks & attendance afresh during supplementary semester. The maximum number of credits permitted for registration in this supplementary semester shall be 16. |
