General Knowledge & Current Affairs :- Questions will be asked from Indian Political Science, Indian Administration, Indian Constitution, Indian Independence Movement and Law, Current (National and International) Events, Indian Society , Gender Issues, Right to Information, Basics of Computer Skills and Awareness, Internal Security and Terrorism, Human Rights, Secularism, General Science, Environment, Relations between India & its Neighboring Countries.
General Hindi : 1- Hindi and other Indian Languages, 2- Basic knowledge of Hindi Crammer : Questions & Answer from the Given Passage, Title of the Given Passage, Similar to telegraph, Taste-similar, gender, word, factor, pronoun, analysis, verb, Word Knowledge, Use of Words, Antonym, Synonym, One Word Substitutions, Sentence Correction & Idioms Phrases.
Reasoning :- Questions will be asked from topics- Analogies, Differences, Similarities, Space visualization, Analysis and Judgment, Problem solving, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, Arithmetical reasoning, Relationship, Concepts, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their associations, Arithmetical computations and other analytical functions of Number.
Numerical Ability : This section will contain questions on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, HCM and LCM. Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Interest, Profit and Loss, Averages, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, Time and Work, etc.
Mental Ability : Questions will be asked in UP Police Written Exam from topics – Logical Diagrams, Symbol Relationship Interpretation, Perception Test, Word Formation Test, Letters and Number Series, Word and Alphabet Analogy, Common Sense Test, Logical Interpretation of Data, Forcefulness of Argument and Determining implied meanings.
