1. At present fifteen (15) State Universities are functioning in Telangana State other than Medical Universities. The Recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff is being made by the Universities themselves with the prior approval of State Government.

2. To bring uniformity and expeditious recruitment and also to examine several issues, Government have constituted a State Level Committee in the G.O. first read above. Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad in their report 2ro read above recommended to assign the process of recruitment either to the Telangana State Public Service Commission or to a separate Board to be established for the purpose.

3. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accept the recommendations of the Committee and decided to constitute a Common Board for Centralized Recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching posts in the State Universities, except Medical University. The Board shall take up other functions as assigned by the State Government from time to time.

4. The composition of the Common Board is as follows:-
The Chairman. Telangana State Council of Higher Education. HyderabadChairman
Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary/ Secretary to Govt. Higher Education
Department / Administrative Department concerned.

Special Chief Secretary / Principal Secretary/ Secretary to Govt. Finance DepartmentMember
The Commissioner of Collegiate Education. HyderabadMember Convenor

5. The Board shall co-opt other expert members in the Board, as required from time to time. The Commissioner of Collegiate Education, Hyderabad / Secretary, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Hyderabad shall provide administrative support for functioning of the "Common Board".

6. Functioning of the Common Board and other guidelines will be issued separately.

7. The Expenditure incurred by the Board shall initially be borne by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, and the same shall be reimbursed by the respective Universities on proportionate basis.

8. The necessary amendments to the Universities Acts shall be issued separately.
