In modification of the rules communicated vide circular under reference, it is to inform all the Principals of affiliated colleges offering Under Graduate courses that .
1. The Candidates who have pursued a regular course of study in the first year (1st & 2nd Semesters together) with a backlog not exceeding 50% of all papers are eligible for promotion to the second year.
2. The Candidates who have pursued a regular course of study in the first and the second year (3rd & 4th Semesters together) with a backlog not exceeding 50% of all papers in the first and second years put together are eligible for promotion to the final year.
The following is the tabular form of the backlogs permitted for promotion from 1st year to 2nd year (2nd semester to 3rd semester)
3. The students shall require to put up a minimum attendance of 75% in each paper in theory and practicals to be eligible for appearing at the University Examinations.
4. These rules will be implemented from the academic year 2016-17 onwards. All the Principals are requested to bring the modified rules to the notice of students and act accordingly.
