Regarding R16 Detained and R18 Re-admitted students requesting grace marks and exemption rule.

"We" few students of JNTUH are requesting you to understand our concern and take necessary steps to support the students, about grace marks and credit exemption. Few students of various colleges affiliated to JNTUH, detained in their R16 2nd year and Re-admitted in R18 3rd year.

The total number of credits are 177 when counted together by considering r16 first 2 years i.e. 1st year & 2nd year and r18 last two years i.e. 3rd year & 4th year.

R16
1st year credits :- 48
2nd year credits:- 48

R18
3rd year credits:- 44
4th year credits:- 37
________________________
Total credits. :- 177 credits

As we now come under R18 regulation and the total credits are 160 in R18

Please give us chance to leave two subjects of 3 credits and 1 subject for grace marks

2*3= 6 credits for subject exemption
1*1= 3 or 4 credit subject for grace marks

we are not too greedy about getting all the 17(177-160=17)credits as exemption. We are just asking you to give us less than 9 or 10 credits for exemption and grace marks.

I request everyone one to share this thread to the students and known people until it reaches the higher authorities of JNTUH.

and our college staff has no idea on this issue
If they follow the mentioned rules, we cannot hope for exemption and grace. In R16 they mentioned clearly about readmitted students of r15 r13 will get r16 exemption and grace rules.
They turned up their hands for R18 students

Guys did JNTUH announce grace marks for R18...like some college students are saying that JNTUH has sent a circular awarding 9 marks as grace marks for R18 JNTUH students

No such circular is issued by JNTUH till now.

According to both regulation books we are not eligible for any, but we can hope for it. Because, jntuh may think that they didn't detain any student for past 2 years and there will be no old regulation students. I guess they completely forgot about r16 to r18 admitted students.

Bro today I visited JNTUH regarding the same issue and the exam branch members told me to write a letter to the controller stating that (we are studying for extra credits i.e 177 in total for rejoined students, whereas in r18 regulation total credits are required for getting a b.tech degree is 160.)
I request rejoined students to go to JNTUH and write a letter to the controller.

Did they say if there is any chance or hope to keep exemption and grace?
