Osmania University (OU) Introduction of online process for obtaining Eligibility/ Equivalence Certificate from the academic year 2026-27-Reg
Osmania University - OU Sir/Madam, Osmania University issues Eligibility/Equivalence Certificates to the students who have completed their Bachelor's Degree from Universities other than Osmania University and are seeking admission into higher education at Osmania University.
So far, the University has been issuing the Eligibility/Equivalency Certificates through the physical mode However, with effect from the academic year 2026-2027, the University has decided to implement an online process for issuance of Eligibility/Equivalency Certificates for such candidates.
In this connection, all the Principals have to provide a copy of the latest Affiliation Order of the respective colleges to the students who pursued their Bachelor's degree from Universities other than Osmania University and approach for seeking admission into higher education in the particular college under the jurisdiction of Osmania University.
In this regard. all the Principals of Campus. Constituent, Autonomous, and Affiliated Colleges under the jurisdiction of Osmania University are requested to give wide publicity among the students seeking admission into P.G. programmes and also provide a copy of the latest Affiliation Order to the students failing which the Eligibility/Equivalence Certificate will not be issued. Eligibility Certificate : An Eligibility certificate is issued to candidates who completed their undergraduate degree from a recognized Indian university other than Osmania University or from a foreign university recognised by AIU, Govt of India for the purpose of pursuing higher education at Osmania University. A candidate who has pursued an undergraduate degree from a foreign university shall submit an Eligibility certificate issued by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, prior to applying for an Eligibility certificate at Osmania University.
The Eligibility Certificate issued by Osmania University shall be valid solely for admission into PG programmes offered by the University and shall not be used for admission to any other university or institution.
Applicants are advised to carefully read the terms and conditions prior to applying for the Eligibility certificate.
