Kakatiya University Committees - Instructions to constitute Internal Committee for redressal of sexual harassment complaints in all the colleges under Jurisdiction, Kakatiya University, Warangal
Kakatiya University - KU As per section 4 of the POSH Act, 2013, every employer of a work place shall, by an order in writing, constitute a committee to be known as "internal complaints committee" for redressal of sexual harassment complaints. Recently, a Director is appointed for Sexual Harassment (Prevention Prohibition and Redressal) Cell (now renamed as Anti-Sexual Harassment (Vedana) Cell) of the University. A University level Constitute committee has been constituted to advise and monitor all its activities of the Anti-Sexual Harassment vide reference 1st cited.
Now, in view of the directions from the State Authorities, the Vice-Chancellor has instructed all the Principals of University/affiliated colleges (Professional/Non-Professional) under the jurisdiction of the Kakatiya University to constitute Internal Committee for redressal of Sexual Harassment complaints in each college as per the provisions of POSH Act, 2013 and as per the directions of the Supreme Court of India in this matter on priority basis.
