The JNT University Hyderabad has entered into a tripartite MOU initiated by TASK (Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge) and NASSCOM to identify suitable curriculum modifications and other possible activities so as to enhance the B Tech students' readiness for job . The job roles identified by NASSCOM are 'ASSOCIATE ANALYTICS' and 'SECURITY ANALYTICS' and the IT industry members of NASSCOM prescribed the content for these job roles.

To benefit our graduate students with industrial jobs, contents prescribed by NASSCOM need to be included in the B Tech programs. Senior faculty members of CSE/IT in association with IT industry members have gone through the prescribed content and structured it as a series of three subjects to be offered for the consecutive three semesters of the B Tech program. These three semesters are III year II semester, IV year I semester and IV year II semester. In this regard, the course structure and syllabi of III and IV years of B Tech program need to be revised with the add-on course structure and add-on subjects.

Hence, a Special Board of Studies meeting was conducted on 09.10.2015 with the faculty of Computer Science and Engineering I Information Technology and NASSCOM experts and prepared the add-on course structure and the syllabi of related add-on subjects for revising the curriculum of B Tech CSE/IT program to incorporate the study content prescribed by NASSCOM in collaboration with TASK for the on-going JNTUH B Tech programs offered for the R13 and R15 B.Tech. regulations (Course Structure and Syllabus enclosed).

The matter was placed before the Standing Committee of the Academic Senate Meeting and it was resolved as follows :
  • The pattern of Internal and External Exams are as per the Regulations. The interested students who have taken the above subj ects as electives, have to app ear for the online exam to be conducted by NAASCOM separately after IV Year II Semester for the purpose of certification issued by NASSCOM. Teacher module and Student module content will be provided by the NAASCOM
  • Under the circumstances as stated above, the V ice-Chancellor is pleased to approve the above Inclusion of additional electives in the R13 and R15 Ill Year II Sem., IV year I Sem. and II Sem. in the course structure and syllabus of B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering and B.Tech. Information Technology, from the academic year 2015-16, subject to the ratification by Executive Council.
