As per the directions of the state Government and the University Proceeding (2) read above, a new course, 'Gender Sensitization', has been introduced in II Year II semester in B.Tech and B. Pharmacy for all the branches as a compulsory subject in addition to the existing course structure of R13 and R15 Regulations and it should be treated as a Lab subject (Student Centered) with two cred its from the academic year 2015-16, based on the recommendations of the XXII Stand ing Committee of the Academic Senate Meeting and the guidelines are as follows:
1. The 'Gender Sensitization' course in II Year II semester in B.Tech and B.Pharmacy for all the brannches in the Constituent and Affiliated Colleges of JNTUH including Autonomous Colleges as a compulsory' subject in addition to the existing course structure of R13 and R15 Regulations and it should be treated as a Lab subject (Student Centered) with two credits from the academic year 2015-16.
2. Internal assessment should be based on attendance requirement as per the norms of the University, Assignments (during the course) and a mini project (at the end of the course).
3. Since this is a value added course, the name of the course may be reflected in the Marks Memo. Final result would be Pass/Fail based on the marks obtained in the Internal Evaluation. Marks obtained in the course will not be included in the aggregate marks for the award of the degree. 40% marks should be obtained to get a pass grade
Under the circumstances as stated above, the Vice-Chancellor is pleased to approve the inclusion of the above provisions in the Academic Regulations and the credits 224 should be read as 226 and 216 should be read as 218. The above changes are to be incorporated in the R13 and R15 of B.Tech /B.Pharm Academic Regulations from the academic year 2015-16, subject to ratification by the Executive Council. However, the above two credits are not to be considered for promotions from II to III year and III to IV year.
