JNTUH (JNTU-Hyderabad) It is observed that many candidates are not applying for extension of time before the time lapses and some candidates are not even paying the fees in time. This is causing serious inconvenience to the R&D department in maintaining and managing the records.

Under these circumstances, it is informed to the candidates that a candidate should apply for extension of time at least three months before the lapse of validity of duration. The application may be submitted in the prescribed format along with the recommendation of the Guide. No application will be entertained if the candidate fails to apply within the stipulated time.

As per AG Audit Vide Lr.No.B10/Accts/Audit/AG Audit lnspection Report-JNTUH HQ of Units/2016-1812019, Dated 1611112019 based on the AG Audit report and the Academic Guidelines. The Research Scholars who have not paid the tuition fee for the two consecutive years are liable to be cancelled.

For the reference of the candidates the existing rules for extension of time are given below (vide Proc. No: JNTUH/DRD/Extension of time/Amendments/Guidelines/2015-16 dated 10-7-2018:
1. If the research scholar completed 6 years of study period and wants to continue further, he may continue up to 8 years by paying fine of Rs. 25,000/- per year along with yearly fee.

2. If after 8 years below 10 years, will be approved by Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor.

3. If it s beyond 10 years, it can be referred to Academic Senate and its approval is necessary for the extens
