JNTUH Condemns Fake Allegations Regarding Recent German MoU Partners and Programs
JNTU-Hyderabad ( JNTUH ) Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) strongly condemns the baseless and fake allegations recently circulated via anonymous emails targeting our German Moll partners and associated academic programs. Preliminary observations suggest these allegations may be motivated by the personal and selfish interests of an individual NRI from Andhra Pradesh.
JNTUH is a reputed and renowned institution that has consistently prioritized student welfare and continues to bring innovative. industry-relevant opportunities to the youth of Telangana. Over the past two decades, the university has successfully implemented international MoU programs that have positively transformed the lives and careers of many students and their families, with ripple effects felt throughout society.
In keeping with this tradition, JNTUH has now collaborated with institutions in Germany, Europe's large it economy and the world's fourth-largest, to provide advanced educational opportunities. German universities are globally recognized for their high-quality education and strong industry linkages. Their academic structures integrate emerging technologies and real-world practices into the curticulum, equipping students with the skills required by modern industry and enhancing the global workforce.
JNTUH recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Knowledge Foundation of Reutlingen University (KFRU). which serves as the industry-linked foundation of Reutlingen University. a German state public university. KFRU offers industry-oriented academic programs under the same public university umbrella, In the German education system, such industry-integrated programs are administered by a Managing Director or CEO, working alongside the academic leadership of the university. This successful model has been in place for over 70 years and is credited with supporting the development of Germany's robust industrial base.
Under this new partnership, JNTUH and KFRU will jointly offer fully accredited Software Engineering programs taught by faculty from loth institutions. Students will receive dual degrees from MITUEI and Reutlingen University. The programs benefit from collaborations with over 60 industry partners, including prominent automotive and tech companies such as Porsche and Mercedes-Benz. Alumni from the Telugu states are also actively involved in supporting these efforts.
Last year. Reutlingen University conducted a study of the Indian education landscape and identified a gap in foundational skills among graduates. As a result, the university chose to collaborate with JNTNUH to deliver full-time,, industry-relevant degree programs to bridge this gap. This dual-degree program in Software Engineering will address Germany's growing demand for digitalization experts and software engineers, especially within its traditionally strong automotive and mechanical engineering sectors.
It is essential to understand that Germany offers both public-funded and self-financed academic programs. Public-funded programs, often misinterpreted in India as "free education:" are primarily taught in the German language, few programs offers English language instruction and follow a more classical academic model. In contrast, self-financed programs are typically delivered in English, are aligned with current market demands, and are designed to prepare students directly for industry roles.
The program offered by KFRU is one such example. It is priced at €26,350 (approximately Rs. 26 lakhs) for both German and international students. However, INTUH successfully negotiated a significant reduction, bringing the cost down to €3,000 at JNTUH and € 18,000 at KFRU. This demonstrates our commitment to making high-quality education accessible to Indian students without compromising on standards. Similar programs in other German universities range from Rs. 25 lakhs to Rs. 65 lakhs. Compared to rising education costs in English-speaking countries, this collaboration presents a valuable and cost-effective alternative.
We urge all stakeholders to recognize the fundamental differences between the Indian and German education systems and to avoid drawing inaccurate comparisons. These MoU program's were thoroughly vetted by INTUI-1 authorities and are designed to address the aspirations of Telangana's youth, particularly in light of current uncertainties in U.S. higher education prospects.
As for the anonymous emails attempting to discredit this initiative, JNTUH condemns these defamatory actions and affirms its support for the program and the students enrolled, Any individual with genuine concerns is encouraged to contact university officials directly for accurate and lawful information. Legal action and a formal criminal investigation have already been initiated, and the matter is being pursued with utmost seriousness.
Clarification on the Role of Coordinators and Counselors
We have observed that the anonymous emails have exploited gaps in understanding about the German education system. The outreach and facilitation for this MoU program have been entrusted to experienced German education specialists officially nominated by our German partners. These coordinators have played a crucial role in ensuring accurate information reaches interested students and parents. Unfortunately, it appears that a fellow NRI based in Germany, driven by jealousy over the success of this initiative, has persistently attempted to defame this organization and even targeted the family members of its founders, particularly women.
JNTUH strongly denounces such actions and misinformation. We remain committed to creating international, industry-linked academic pathways that are vital in today's competitive global job market, especially for students aspiring to build careers abroad.
