JNTUH : 14,000 Students of B.Tech / B.Pharm 1st Year going to face detention due to lack of Credits

B.Tech : A total of 44,488 students attended the examinations of B.Tech 1st Year which were held in May 2016. Among them only 12,393 students passed in all subjects i.e., only 28% of students cleared all the subjects of 1st year. 13,000 students got detained due to lack of credits.

B.Pharmacy: A total of 5000 students attended the examinations of B.Pharmacy 1st Year which were held in May 2016. 1010 students got detained due to lack of credits.

Total of 14,000 students got detained due to lack of credits. If the students gets required no.of credits in supplementary examinations then they can attend 2 year classes from the next academic year onwards.

JNTUH had given a wide publicity regarding the credits rule for R15 students from the beginning of the academic year.
  • They had placed the rules & regulations in its official website.
  • Printed posters, Hand outs were sent to colleges & requested colleges staff to make them available in notice boards.
R15 Promotion Rule : A student will not be promoted from I Year to II Year unless he fulfills the academic requirement of 28 credits out of 56 credits of I Year from all the examinations and secures prescribed minimum attendance in I Year.
