APJAKTU Vide paper read as (1) above, representation of Mrs. Bushra Shihab was forwarded by the Government, requesting permission for Type 1 diabetic students to possess and use medicines such as insulin pump, insulin pen, sugar tablet and food items like chocolates, fruits, snacks and water in the examination hall.
Vide paper read as (2) above, the matter was placed before the Academic Council , for discussion. After considering the matter, the Academic Council resolved to approve the request of Mrs. Bushra Shihab, forwarded by the Higher Education Department, for permitting Type 1 diabetic students to possess and use medicines and food items such as insulin pump, insulin pen, sugar tablet, chocolates, fruits, snacks and water in the examination hall.
Sanction has been accorded by the Vice chancellor to implement the resolution of the Academic Council as noted below;
1. Type 1 diabetic students of the University are permitted to possess and use medicines and food items such as insulin pump ,insulin pen ,sugar tablet , chocolates, fruits , snacks and water in the examination hall.
2. Colleges shall disseminate the above information among all invigilators and necessary instructions shall be issued to the students to take permissions from the college, beforehand.
