APJAKTU Requests from students were received for reducing the required activity points for the 2017-21 batch (current passing out batch) in view of COVID -19 Pandemic. During the previous academic year, the activity pointswere reduced to 75 from 100 for 2016-20 batch students of B.Tech Programme. For lateral entry students of thebatch also, the activity points were reduced to 75% of the total activity points specified for them. The requestfrom students to reduce the activity point was presented in the Syndicate Standing Committee on Academics andResearch held on 2/6/2021. The recommendations of the Syndicate Standing Committee was approved by the23rd meeting of the Syndicate held on 08.06.2021. Accordingly University order read as above was issued forimplementing the resolution of the Syndicate.

The first batch of B.Arch (2016-21 batch) is also completing the Programme during the academic year 2020-21.Vide clause 7 (c) (x) of B.Arch Regulations (2016) it is mandatory for B.Arch students to secure 100 Activity Pointsto pass the Programme. The benefit of reduction in Activity Point needs to be extended to the final year studentsof B.Arch Programme also, in view of COVID -19 Pandemic.

Hence sanction has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor, subject to ratification by the Academic Council, forthe following;

1. The requirement of activity points for B.Arch 2016-21 batch has been reduced to 75 instead of 100.

2. Online activities conducted under the supervision of faculty members shall also be considered for activitypoints and associated updations of Activity Points in the University portal shall be permitted till30.06.2021.

Orders are issued accordingly
