APJAKTU As per the reference cited above, the Kerala State Commissioner for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has informed of its observation that due to flaws in the allotment process in the Universities and autonomous institutions, admission is denied to the students of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes to their eligible seats and being deprived of their right to reservation for admission. Hence the Commission has given following instructions;

1. The exact number of available seats for each category and subject, as well as the colleges where seats are available should be published in the website and notice board of the Institution.

2. Prior to spot allotment, ample time time should be given to the students for their participation in allotment and to understand the process involved.

3. By following the above stipulations the admitting authorities should ensure that the seats allotted to the category of S.C / S.T are filled up by the students belonging to this category.

All the Heads of the Institution are directed to strictly observe the above stipulations and to ensure that Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes students are not denied admission to their eligible seats. The Letter of the Commission is also attached herewith for reference.
