Ans : Exemption of 2 subjects means students have an option to leave or Exempt 2 subjects to get the degree. If a students secures 216 credits out of 224 Registered [Regular] & 160 credits out of 168 Registered credits then the student will be eligible for award of degree. So, here students are having an option to leave 8 credits max.

For B.Tech Regular Students: You do have an option to leave 2 subjects at most which carries a total of 8 credits. Here are the following cases for leaving of 8 credits max.

    Q) How Exemption rule will be beneficial

    Q) How percentage will be calculated for the students who cleared all subjects & students who left/Exempt 1 or 2 subjects ?
Ans : Here are the below 3 cases how percentage will be calculated.
    1. If you cleared all subjects & secured 224 credits then the percentage will be calculated by excluding 2 subjects marks in which u secured least marks from 1 to 4 years (that is percentage will be calculated for best of 216 credits).
    2. If u leave 2 subjects (max of 8 credits) then percentage will be calculated for best of 216 (By leaving those 2 subjects in which you failed).
    3. If u leave 1 subjects (which carries 6 credits) then percentage will be calculated for best of 218 (By leaving that 1 subject in which u failed).
    Note :
If a student failed in one subjects (Which carries 4 credits), then at that time JNTUH will remove 2 subjects as mentioned in below steps
